DassebreBa Kwame crowned artiste of the year at the 8th Edition of the Eastern Music Awards
The 8th edition of the annual Eastern Music Awards has finally come to a beautiful end. A night of assorted entertainment was packaged for the lovers of the business by Hi5 Empire who have been holding the region down when it comes to spreading the beautiful fruit of talents to the corners of the country and beyond.
In anticipation to the 13th of December, 2024 which was the main event date, nominations were opened for deserving acts / organizations to file for the nominations. This process took two weeks and after which the board was given the time to sift through the list. The focus was to bring out qualified nominees who deserved nominations considering factors such as popularity, period of review for the awards and whether it fits the category that they filed for.
The Centre for National Culture was the venue for the night with Red Carpet hosted by Sister Sandy of Multimedia Group of Companies with her fashion sense on point for the occasion. Various nominees and patrons took their turn on the red carpet to share their thoughts and expectations for the night which showed the highest level of anticipation.
King Kweku Mensah of media general was the MC for the night. The main night began with performance from C-Clark and moved on straight to the main business which was the awards session. Event night didn’t only feature musicians alone but also had dancers coming on to show their craft. Lifetime Achievement Award was given to KK Fosu for his wonderful contribution in the entertainment business. The night ended with a beautiful performance from Queen of the Shay Gang Movement Wendy Shay. KO7, Gal Dem Tish, Tee Rhyme, DDF Academy and many others took turn to perform on the night as well.
Much appreciation going to Ceejay Multimedia, Libeson Music, Kenjack, Joy Daddy Multimedia, Multimedia Group of Companies, Life Fm, Freedom Fm and Nkunim Fm for their support in promoting the event on their various platforms to achieve these feat.
